Hi I'm Nate

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated with a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources. I love understanding how people work with one another and trying to find ways to improve work more efficiently in organizations. I love to spend my time outside camping, hiking, and kayaking or even just playing sports like football and basketball. I have a passion for music.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the church my whole life. The best thing about the gospel is that it applies to us at every stage of our life. I'm still learning things about God and Jesus Christ that are helping me as I'm in college. I'm a Mormon because I've seen the power that the gospel has. I've seen it change my life and those of countless other people. The gospel brings happiness, and thats what I've always sought and so I'm grateful for that light in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it with others. This isn't always a verbal teaching, but also comes through service and example. I always hope that when someone sees who I am and how I act that they will know that I am a member of the Church. I was able to spend two years in Wisconsin as a full-time missionary to teach the Hispanic people the gospel. Currently, I am in charge of weekly get-togethers for about 20 young adults where we teach and learn together. Its a great time for us all to share personal insights and inspiration about gospel topics that helps us all grow.

What is the First Vision?

Nate
The First Vision, simply put, was God's answer to the humble prayer of a 14-year-old named Joseph Smith. It was His way of letting Joseph know that He knew him by name and was his Father in Heaven. Joseph's reason for going to the Lord was to find which church that was on earth was true. God's answer was that none of them was the true Church, since the power to act in God's name had long since been taken from the earth. As a result of this prayer, Joseph was called as a prophet and given the responsibility to bring Christ's true church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) back to the earth.
