Hi I'm Angela

I'm a mother of three. I volunteer in my community. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my husband, and we just had our eighth anniversary. I have three small children, and enjoy them immensely. Life is busy but beautiful!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through prayer, I felt the Spirit confirm that God loves me, that Jesus is the Christ, that the Book of Mormon is true, and that this is God's true church on the earth. It all began with me being so overwhelmed, I hit my knees. Being raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I always cognitively knew the facts, but in this moment I changed. I felt truly that Heavenly Father loves me. ME! imperfect, impetuous, impulsive me. I know that He loves each of you, too! That same spirit guided me to do my best to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am SO GRATEFUL for this opportunity! I know that Jesus Christ loves me. I know, yes KNOW, that this is Jesus Christ's church, and He is at the Head. I am a Mormon only because through prayer, that same Spirit that encompassed me when I felt God's love has confirmed that the Book of Mormon is true, that prophets are again called in this day, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I am so grateful for this hope, this knowledge, this love that has come into my life! I LOVE THE GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST!

How I live my faith

I love my faith! My faith is centered on Jesus Christ. I love my Savior and am so grateful for His sacrifice and life. I try to be like Jesus. I do my best to keep all of God's commandments and repent when I mess up! I try to follow the promptings I get from the Holy Spirit, and I also testify of Jesus Christ whenever I am moved upon by the Holy Ghost to do so. My faith guides me when I sing Hymns as I do dishes or when I try to do something good in my community. It especially guides me as I teach my children right from wrong and help them become good members of the society. I love to worship every week in church and also love to worship in the temple. How grateful I am for my membership in this Church. How grateful I am for Jesus Christ and for my faith in Him!

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

It is His work and His glory to bring to pass the eternal life and immortality of man. (see Moses 1:39) I have faith that He is good at what He does, even if I or others are imperfect. I know that if I strive to do a little better, be a little kinder, improve the world around me in my own sphere of influence, He will make my actions do their best good possible!  Because Christ has atoned not only for my sins, but for the sins of each member of mankind, I know I can interact with my family and friends with forgiveness, hope, and love. The priesthood is the power of God given to man, the authority to act as He would act if He were physically present. Show more Show less

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

In all actuality, the majority of women in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints feel satisfied their roles in the Church. We lead in various positions in the church, including in presidencies and leadership positions in Relief Society (the world's largest women's organization), Young Women's, and Primary, and on ward and stake councils, not to mention as teachers, visiting teachers, missionaries, and any other calling we are called to. We are called on to preach sermons, say prayers, and lead music. We work in various capacities throughout the church. I invite you to watch general conference and see our women leaders in action. Every congregation in the Church has women leaders, and women are called to lead in general positions as well. These callings are performed under the direction of the priesthood, and we are relied upon to do our part. I know that the Lord Jesus Christ is at the head of this church. He has made it that women do not hold the priesthood. Although I do not know the meaning of all things, I know He is God. I know that He loves both men and women and blesses us both. This church is led by revelation, both to the leaders and to each individual. I invite you to pray about if this is His true church. Once you find that out, then ask Him to teach you more about the priesthood. I am grateful that I am seen as and treated as an equal to the men with whom I work. I am grateful for callings in my life. I am grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
