Hi I'm Trevor H.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like playing sports but not necessarily watching them. I like soccer, golf, racquetball, basketball, and volleyball to name a few. I'm currently going to college and should graduate in two years. I like traveling all over but don't all that much because I don't have enough time or money.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the teachings of this church. I was raised in the church but I realized at a young age that I could not rely on my parents beliefs. I needed to establish my own. As I studied the church and its teachings I came to feel and know that this church is right for me. It teaches true principles and encourages righteous living. I am happy as I learn about the doctrines and principles of the church. I know it can help others and that's why I served a mission for the church in Paraguay.

How I live my faith

I enjoy attending church and learning more from the scriptures and the teachers for that week. I have recently been in charge of organizing activities for my local congregation. It was really fun and a good experience. I also have responsibilities to teach the men of my congregation and instruct them on how to be better brethren in the church.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Trevor H.
The Book of Mormon was written by ancient American prophets. These prophets lived from 2000 B.C. to about 400 A.D. and taught of Jesus Christ. It is called the Book of Mormon because Mormon, an ancient American prophet that lived around 400 A.D., compiled most of the record. He was a prophet historian that was commanded by God to summarize many different writings from many American prophets and put those writings into one book. Joseph Smith merely translated this ancient record. Show more Show less
