Hi I'm Zac

I'm from Minnesota. I'm a drummer, a law student, and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a young father in law school. My wife and I met during undergrad, and we have a blissful marriage. We have now have two busy boys who are growing up way too fast! I enjoy watching movies, reading novels, learning languages, and keeping up with current events, especially international affairs; my undergrad is in political science with an emphasis in international politics. I also enjoy playing the drums, which I have done since 6th grade. I even played on my college's drumline for a couple years and had a rock band with my friends. I had to sell my drumset to save money for college, but it is definitely a hobby I will pursue throughout my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that it's true. That may sound cliche, but that's what it really comes down to. I earnestly sought to ask God if this is what He wanted to me to do, to be a part of. In response to my prayers, I didn't have angels visit me or hear a booming voice. I just felt the quiet peace that I have come to associate with the things of God. I feel that same feeling when I read the Book of Mormon and the Bible and when I attend church meetings. These feelings come from the Holy Ghost, who is the Comforter the Lord promised to his disciples.

How I live my faith

I go about doing good, helping friends and strangers alike. I teach my child about his Savior, even at a young age. I have served as sunday school teacher in my local congregation.

What is the Law of Chastity?

The Law of Chastity means complete abstinence before marriage, and complete fidelity after. I don't think there's anything that means more to my wife than the fact that I saved myself for her and that I am hers and hers alone. Show more Show less

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

For me, faith in Jesus Christ simply helps me be happy. I'm often asked, "why are you so happy?" It comes from the hope that my faith gives me. This carries over into my relationship with my wife, family and friends. It helps me be more patient, more cheerful, and more generous. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Life as a Mormon is great! For me, what it comes down to is an incredible sense of purpose in life. This is because of my faith in Christ and the plan of salvation that He made possible. I know that I am a child of God with divine potential, which I am can achieve through Christ. This guides my daily decisions and gives me a reason to remain faithful. Show more Show less
