Hi I'm Chad

I'm a software engineer, a family man, and a gardener in my spare time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and the proud Dad of 5 children (with one on the way). I am a software engineer just like my own Dad. I went to school and have both a bachelor and master's degree in computer science. My day I develop software for airplanes; at home I prefer other activities. We live in the country with a lot of open space and open sky. I like to work the soil (even though the plants don't always work well for me). I play the piano and the organ.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon and I grew up going to church as a kid and a teenager. I was baptized when I was 8 and received the priesthood when I was 12. However, it wasn't until I moved out on my own that I truly became converted. I was happy when I choose to attend church, serve with others and take the sacrament each week. I see how important it is to give my children the same opportunities that I was given. In good days and bad days I can see my Heavenly Father watching after me and my family. I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father and my Savior in a very real way. I know they live and that the Atonement that Jesus Christ performed has provided me with a way back home to them again with my own family.

How I live my faith

Our family recently moved to a new town that has fewer members of the church. The number of people in the congregation may be smaller, but they have the same faith and devotion as all Latter-day Saints. I play the piano in priesthood meetings on some Sundays. I also serve as a secretary for one of the leaders. Planning agendas and keeping track of calendars may seem mundane to some, but I enjoy the opportunity to serve.
