Hi I'm Lindsay

I grew up on the west coast but live on the east. I love people, peanut butter, and being outside. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I work in the city at a growing nonprofit organization. When it comes to food, traveling, and music, I like to try new things. I'm a morning person, but will stay up late if I'm with good friends. I love learning and want to teach at a university some day. One of my favorite things to do is watch a thunderstorm roll in on a summer evening. I would rather play with my nieces and nephews than almost anything in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 7 years-old, my family and friends returned to our parked car to find glass shattered everywhere and my moms purse stolen. My mom and dad led our group in a vocal prayer that we might find the purse. It never entered my 7-year-old mind to offer a public prayer to find my mother’s purse. After the prayer a search commenced in the surrounding woods – a search that ended in finding not only my mother’s purse but an additional purse and a wallet. I remember the policeman looking on in disbelief. This first of many experiences helped me learn that God lives and cares about the little things in our lives. I know he loves me and you. He can speak to us individually and does speak to us through a prophet on the earth today. That's why I'm a mormon.

How I live my faith

I volunteer in our community to clean up our neighborhood. I love speaking to God in prayer when I wake up in the morning-- it helps me to remember him throughout the day. I teach a scripture study class to young adults twice a month.
