Hi I'm Tessa

I'm an optimist.

About Me

I'm a twenty-something, semi-recent college grad trying to get used to the corporate world (no summers off and no sleeping in). Among my many loves are sports, my family, my dog, nature's beauty, and little kid-os (even though I don't have any yet).

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon household, and have been blessed with a great family who has helped me learn about the gospel since I was a little girl. I know that Heavenly Father is real, and that he knows me and cares about me individually. I love praying to him and feeling his love in my heart. I know that Jesus Christ is our perfect example, and that his atonement is real and personal. I love the gospel because it brings peace to my heart, and guidance and confidence to my life.

How I live my faith

For the past few years I've been taking care of 2-3 year olds at church so their parents could go to their own sunday school classes. I loved playing with them, teaching them new songs, and teaching them about Jesus. Now I get to work with the youth in the church - and I am learning so much from them!

What is the Book of Mormon?

Similar to the Bible, the Book of Mormon is an ancient record that testifies of Jesus Christ. The contents are written by inspired prophets, and intended for us today. The Book of Mormon is a second witness of Jesus Christ, and contains the gospel in full. Some of the simplest truths in the Bible were left out over the years and many translations; since the Book of Mormon was only translated once (by an inspired prophet) it contains all of the truths that Heavenly Father wants us to know about his gospel.
