Hi I'm Christopher Danson

I'm a Father, Husband, Website Enthusiast, and Social Media Specialist. I love technology, camping, and traveling. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Virginia. I've lived in Georgia, Texas, New York, and now Utah. Travel is something I love to do and have been to Europe, Africa, South America, and the Caribbean. I've been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. I have a beautiful family, a wonderful job, and feel blessed by God.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been asked many times why I am a Mormon. I've thought about this quite a bit when I was in high school. Being in the minority religion really tests your faith in a church. One night I was reading the Bible and thought to my self "God has answered many people's prayers, I hope he can answer a question of mine." That is when I prayed to God with out a doubt he would listen. I asked about the church and felt almost instantly the burning sensation in my heart. It spread throughout my body and at that moment I knew without a doubt that this is the true church of God. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to work very hard in the community by serving the people. We have a semi annual clean up for our area which I participate. I also try to be active in politics and help out with causes that are important to me and my faith. I have seen the devastation of hurricanes and flooding. I've helped many people that I don't even know. I try to live my life by what my faith teaches me Become like Christ. " Beloved, let us love one another for love is of God and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God." 1 John 47

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Christopher Danson
I was once a missionary myself. I worked several summers and saved as much money as I could since missionaries are encouraged to save as much by themselves to go on a mission. I didn't quite have enough but my grandparents donated the rest of the money so I could finance my mission. If others had wanted to, they could donate money to the church into a general missionary fund. This can be used for those who do not have sufficent money to cover the cost of a mission but the person still desires to go. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Christopher Danson
I believe in a prophet of God. The Bible has prophets that taught about the coming of Christ. They also taught us how to follow the commandments of God. Anytime a prophet passed away or was killed, God would call another one. I know that God has called a prophet for our time as well. He has not changed this throughout the scriptures. We have a prophet that can help us by receiving revelation for the whole church similar to Moses and the children of Israel. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Christopher Danson
We go to a spirit world to await a final judgment. It is their that we are reunited with our loved ones who have already passed on. We call a portion of this place as paradise and the other portion as prision. Paradise is were those who have done good in their lives and have followed our Savior's teachings. Prision are for those who did opposite of the teachings of Jesus Christ. However, God is merciful and will allow those in paradise to go to the prision and teach them. If they truly repent, they will be welcomed onto the other side. After Christ comes again, we will go through what is called the final judgment. This is were every soul who has lived on the earth will be judged by God. From there we will be placed into three different glories or kingdoms. There are the Celestial, Terestrial, and Telestial kingdoms. Celestial kingdom is where God lives and we can be together with our families forever. That is our family's ultimate goal.
