Hi I'm David

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Las Vegas Nevada but I know live in Utah. I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. My ancestor were Mormon pioneers that came from Europe and followed Brigham Young out to Utah. I had the opportunity to serve a mission for our Church in Indonesia it was a wonderful experience. I recently graduated college and would like to pursue a law degree in the near future. I enjoy sports especially American Football. I also like to be actively involved in my community. I enjoy the great out doors and spend what free time I have there.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason that I chose to be Mormon was the feeling that I had as I read and prayed about the Book of Mormon. Also the influence of Family and Friends helped me to see how their lives had been blessed by being members of the Church. Now that I've been a member for several years I can see my life has been blessed becasue of the Teachings of the Savior Jesus Christ. I feel the Spirit of the Lord guiding me in my life. I feel happy and at peace knowing that the Lord has a plan for me. This gives me purpose in life and a hope that I can be with my family forever living in the presents of Our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. What greater joy could one ask for?

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church is a wonderful blessing. As a member I have the opportunity to serve others in my congregation. I share what talents that I have gained with others freely. In turn others share what they have with me. I also try to study the scriptures and the messages given to us from our leaders. I try to apply these new principles in my life. Being a member of the Church is not always easy but it is worth it to know that you are serving the Lord.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Those that feel Mormons belong to a cult usually don't understand the Church or have been misinformed. Mormons are mainstream Christians and active citizens in their communities. Chances are they are a lot like you. Show more Show less
