Hi I'm Matt J.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 2 wonderful children, married for well over a decade. I work in the foodservice business, and participate in the community as much as possible. I love to mow the lawn (it's the only real "me" time I get), and go to movies. I'm as normal as normal comes.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only church on the earth today that has ALL of God's revealed truths. Being a member brings me peace and happiness, secure in the knowledge that my Heavenly Father indeed loves me, as well as all of the people on this earth, both good and bad, and that He wants what is best for all of His children

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith on a daily basis. It's not always easy, but it definately is rewarding. I serve as the Young Men's President in my branch. I get the opportunity to serve and fellowship the boys of the branch who range in age from 12-18. My "job" is to help prepare these young men to become better sons, brothers, fathers, and leaders in their future communities.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Matt J.
The Mormon lifestyle is just like that of any other person. We go to school and work, we participate in local sports teams and community events. In addition, we sometimes have callings within our individual units that take up more of our time, usually 1 night a week, as well as most of Sundays, depending on our callings. We tend to be more conservative in our actions and dress, and strive to keep our bodies clean. No alcohol, harmful drugs or stimulants, no coffee or tea or tobacco. We see our bodies as a type of temple, a gift from our Father in Heaven, and as such, we strive to keep ourselves pure, both physically and spiritually. Show more Show less
