Hi I'm Jonny

I'm a 6-foot-7 dentist. I'm a husband, a father, an Air Force veteran and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 8 years with 3 children with one on the way. I'm a dentist and veteran of the Air force ('07-'10). I'm pretty tall (6'7") and "follicley challenged" (mostly bald). I love to play basketball and I sporadically take up running. I love to dance including ballroom, breakdancing, and most everything inbetween. I love to watch movies with my wife and make cookies with my kids. I've made several of my own music videos with original music and I also play the piano, guitar, trombone, and sing. I feel like a pretty happy person and I get along well with others. I'm proud to be an American and feel very fortunate live with so many freedoms and opportunities. I am truly blessed and know my Heavenly Father is the source of those blessings.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the church and relied on my parents' faith until my late teens. Eventually, I had to find out for myself if God was really there and if this was His church. I studied and pondered the teachings of Latter-day prophets, I read the Book of Mormon, and I prayed to ask God if it was all true. Not all at once, but gradually, I received thoughts and feelings that confirmed the truth. By the power of the Holy Ghost, and by "their fruits," I came to know the truth for myself. Now I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I think the most applicable thing I've learned is to frequently ask myself "What would Jesus do?" Although I am FAR from perfect, I know that through the Atonement of Christ (God's grace), I can repent and improve everyday and continue on the path that leads me and my family back to my Father in Heaven.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Jonny
We actually believe that everyone on earth will go to "heaven." God loves each us (his spirit childern) so very much that no matter what we have done in this life, he has prepared a place of paradise for all of his children. We believe that those that do not partake of God's Grace in this life or the next will have to repent of their mistakes, but ALL will eventually be granted a place in heaven. Those who accept AND follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ (in this life OR the next) will also receive all that Heavenly Father has and eternal joy. Show more Show less
