Hi I'm Brianne

Loving life, I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

About Me

I love to have fun and make new friends! Some of my hobbies include singing and drawing! I also like to do outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, boating, and sledding! I am currently going to work everyday and planning to go to College this next fall.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I have been around people in the Gospel. Although I did have some thoughts of whether this Church is true I began reading the Book of Mormon to find out for myself. As I did I noticed that my life was more peaceful and joyful. I prayed to the Lord and He answered with words in my heart, “You already know.” Since then I have no doubt in this Church. I hope one day I may show my gratitude to the Prophet Joseph Smith who followed Christ in bringing forth this book. This book has been put here on earth through the will of the Lord for this time. I would challenge you if you have not read this wonderful book, please do; it will change your life. We have a prophet on earth today; his name is Thomas S. Monson and I know the Lord directs him in guiding the Church. I want to testify that “YOU CAN!” Whether it is doing service, finding a job, or even getting down on your knees to pray to the Lord, You can. The Lord loves us, cares for us, and wants us to return to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

Singing is how I live my faith because it bears testimony of what I know to be true. It invites the spirit and sometimes communicates to the listeners. In Colossians 3:16 it says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." When I sing in either a ward choir, or as a musical number I always try to sing with real heart as if I'm singing to my Savior, Jesus Christ. With living my faith, it is also good to consider that I live by faith. No one knows their own future. One of my friends from college told me this, "I think you're stronger than you give yourself credit for, and such is the case for all people. We never really realize just how strong we are until that's tested..." Many believe themselves to be weak but if we show our weakness to the Lord, He will make them strong. Elder Richard G. Scott of the Twelve Apostles said, "When you push against the boundaries of experience into the twilight of the unknown, the Lord with strengthen you. The beauty of your eternal soul will begin to unfold." (Ensign, Nov. 2003).

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

I absolutely believe that families can be together in Heaven if they follow Christ’s example. It is through Jesus Christ atonement that we are able to live together in the eternities. Husband and wife are able to be sealed together forever inside of the Temple. I talked with my grandparents a little while back and they both emphasized that these next few years are full of important decisions. Whether it is marriage or going on a mission one decision should stand out of the rest and that is going to the Temple. This took me back a little but as I thought about it more I realized that it is so true. The Temple is the House of God. I notice in my life that when I go to the temple I can receive knowledge, inspiration and peace. Show more Show less
