Hi I'm Lucinda

I grew up in Utah. I am a mother, a wife, and a friend. I love to read, scrapbook, and do crafts. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading uplifting books (both fiction & non-fiction), photography, digital scrapbooking, sewing, teaching, crafting, camping, outdoor activities, gardening, and hiking. I am a mom of three delightful little boys and married to a wonderful man. I have taught 1st and 3rd grades. I love learning and sharing with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the LDS Church because I know it is Jesus Christ's church. I grew up as a Mormon and always went to church. After I left home for college, I had to decide if I believed what my parents had taught me. As I prayed, read the Book of Mormon, and learned about the teachings of Jesus Christ, I came to know that this is His church. I know that the peace and joy that I have in my life are because I strive to live the teachings of the church.

How I live my faith

I am responsible for teaching the children in my ward the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love interact with them and find that they teach me far more than I teach them. Together we grow closer to our Savior. I enjoy visiting with other women of my faith and sharing life experiences with them. The thing that I enjoy most is teaching my children about Jesus Christ and how to be happy.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Lucinda
The Family is the basic unit of society. It is in the family that we learn our values. We believe that the family is ordained of God and that our family isn't just for while we are on earth. We believe that family relationships will continue after we die. For me, my family is the most important thing. My life revolves around them. I have found my greatest joy through family relationships. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Lucinda
No. Mormons are Christians and strive to live as Christ would have us live. Christ served all people and that is what Mormons try to do. The church has a Humanitarian department that seeks to serve people in need. Often times, Mormons are one of the first groups on the scene of a disaster. Members of the church help through donations of time, money, and items. We also strive to help people in our neighborhoods, communities, and within our sphere of influence. Show more Show less
