Hi I'm Marilyn

I live in WA state. I am a wife and mother. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy my roles as a wife and mother. My husband is my best friend and we love to travel together and work together in our yard. We have four children ages 8-15. I love music and play the piano and the organ.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the truth that the gospel teaches me, and the knowledge that I am a daughter of God. I am grateful to know that there is a living prophet on the earth today who leads and guides this church. I know that families can be together forever through sacred ordinances offered in holy temples. Understanding the plan of happiness that Heavenly Father created for us helps me work through the difficult times this life has in store. The Book of Mormon is a true witness of the Savior's life and gives me comfort, guidance, and peace as I raise my children.

How I live my faith

Service in the church is an important part of my life. I love learning through serving. I currently work in the Relief Society organization as well as play the piano for the choir and play the organ for church meetings.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

I believe that the Mormon lifestyle is ideal for raising children. We place great importance on spending time together as families and in teaching our children to have strong values and standards. We pray daily as a family, we bless our meals before we eat, we study the scriptures together, we have weekly family nights. Our teenagers attend a youth group on Wednesday nights and there are often other church meetings and activities scattered throughout the week. Our commitment to religion is not just a Sunday thing. Our commitment to God is a daily thing. The doctrines of the church help us as parents to teach our children right from wrong and the church offers us amazing tools to help keep our children on a righteous path. Mormons live very normal lives. Our children play sports, we go to concerts, we travel, we work, we have fun. Our life is very fulfilled and we feel very blessed. Show more Show less

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is an amazing organization of women throughout the world that offers service, love and friendship to it's members. I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be among this organization and for the sisterhood I feel there. I have learned many important lessons about life, marriage, and raising children throughout the 16 years that I have participated in Relief Society. Show more Show less
