Hi I'm Andrew Paul

I'm an athlete, cartoonist, handy-man, musician, volunteer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am involved in many activities and have many interests. I particularly enjoy music (both listening and playing), sports (both watching and playing), outdoor recreation (such as hiking, camping, fishing, etc), classic automobiles, politics, and participating in theatre productions. I am a Brigham Young University college graduate. I have two bachelor degrees, one in Political Science and the other in Russian Language and Literature.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the LDS church and I continue to follow His gospel today. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the source of true happiness. It gives me strength when I'm in despair, it comforts me when I feel alone, it gives my life meaning. God answers my prayers and I know that He loves me and cares for me. I know that He lives, and that Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. That knowledge is very special to me.

How I live my faith

I always try to find ways to serve others. This could be a formal, organized service project, or what I try to do, is find the simple, unseen ways of serving others. There is a great feeling you get when you hear whoever you served asking, "Someone did something really nice for me that made my day. Do you know who did this?" Jesus Christ did many quiet acts of service and I really try to follow that example.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Andrew Paul
Mormons believe that men can be saved by both grace and works. Christ is our Savior and His Atonement will satisfy the laws of justice. However, we must do our part. We must follow Christ's teachings and be baptized, repent, and endure to the end. A verse in the Book of Mormon explains this very well. The verse is 2 Nephi 25: 23 - For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.
