Hi I'm Brian Hall

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband, father, and IT professional. I used to do computer animation, but I now work in Information Technology management at a large corporation. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing music (guitar, drums), web development, and playing with technology.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have come to know for myself that our Heavenly Father lives and that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to be our Savior. Our Heavenly Father is a loving parent who loves all of His children here on earth, and wants them to be happy. For this reason the Lord has organized His church here upon the earth, which is led by a prophet, apostles, and other leaders that the Lord has chosen. The Book of Mormon testifies of the role of Jesus Christ as our Savior, and details the events which took place anciently in the American continent. It is one of the pillars of my knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, as it testifies along with the Holy Bible, of His divine mission. The Holy Ghost gives me great happiness and helps me to know that these things are true. It is a peaceful, calm, happy feeling within me that lets me know that I'm on the right path. As I live the principles contained in the scriptures and in the teachings of the prophets and apostles, I have found joy in my life. My hope and faith is that I may some day be able to return to my Father in Heaven and there live forever with my family. Through the sacrifice and the mercy of Jesus Christ, all who desire may be found worthy to once again dwell with God in His kingdom.

How I live my faith

In addition to attending weekly church meetings every Sunday, I visit a few families every month to fellowship them, to find out if we can help them with anything, and to share a brief inspirational message. My wife and I have also taught a youth group in a Sunday school class. As a family, we read passages from the scriptures and have a family prayer every night. I also take time to study the scriptures individually and to pray to my Heavenly Father.

Who are the Mormons?

Brian Hall
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are commonly referred to as Mormons. This is sort of a nickname that comes about because of our belief in a volume of scripture called The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Mormon is the name of a prophet who lived anciently in the Americas and compiled many records and revelations which now make up the Book of Mormon. Mormons are Christian, as the very name of the church indicates. Mormons believe in the Holy Bible as well as in the Book of Mormon, and our faith centers on the role of Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. Show more Show less
