Hi I'm Trystan

Business Manager, Rugby Player, Husband & Father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was married in December 2006 and have 2 children both boys. I enjoy most sports including but not limited to rugby, football, and squash. I am a Management Graduate with a BSc degree from the University of Southampton I have 3 years experience in retail management as a store manager currently working for Boots Opticians. I grew up in Scotland and have lived in the US and Wales before settling in England. I love spending time with my family. When I am with my family I can put the troubles of day to day life to one side and enjoy the happiness life brings.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because God answered my prayer of faith. Everything leading up to my conversion was prepared by God. I met mt wife randomly in a book store and got chatting then we went our separate ways. Later our paths crossed again and while dating the sister missionaries contacted my wife believing her to be someone else with the same name. After realizing that they had mistaken her for someone else they invited her to have lessons with them. I joined in the discussions and received my own copy of the Book of Mormon. Soon i was challenged to read and pray to know if the Book of Mormon was true. I continued to be taught and prayed but still received no answer. Then my wife was rushed to hospital unable to breathe properly and having pains in her back. The doctors were unable to identify the problem put her under nil by mouth and did not know how long she would be in hospital it could of been months. At this point i knew i needed to pray and for the first time had a real desire to pray to God and was ready to do whatever it took so that my wife could get better. The next morning my wife was out of hospital suffering no further complications. This was an answer to my prayer and i knew that God existed and that i needed to follow what he wanted from me. I have been baptized for almost seven years now and a lot has changed. But God still answers my prayers and gives me comfort through the holy ghost, i know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he lives, that he loves all of us, he atoned for our sins and that through him all of us can be happy, know our true potential, and return to live with God and Jesus Christ after this life. I know that we can all receive answers to our prayers and that God has restored his gospel on the earth and appointed Prophets and Apostles again to lead and guide us. I am grateful that God answered my prayer that he loves me and that i can feel that love by following Jesus Christ and striving to do my best in all aspects of life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings of Jesus Christ contained in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I really enjoy helping the missionaries and go out regularly with them. I also visit members of the church through Home Teaching to see how they are getting on and to share a monthly message from the Prophets and Apostles of the church. I try my best to teach my son at his early age and it is a real blessing to watch him develop and grow and see him learn. My favorite memories are always with my family and i try to spend as much time as possible with them. Our faith as a family is strengthened as we learn together and go through good and bad times together God helps us to become better and stronger and endure through bad times.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

God chooses a Prophet as his messenger to share with us what we need to know to be happy and successful and to do our best. The prophet is then sustained by members of the church at the General Conference of the church which happens twice a year. Show more Show less
