Hi I'm Taggart

I'm a college student and a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Texas. I went to college before and will be going back to college after my mission. I love skimboarding, hiking, and any sport. I really like to see God's creations and appreciate all the beautiful things in the world. Serving my mission in Texas I have come to appreciate the beautiful skies here.

Why I am a Mormon

I have to choose every day to follow the Lord. It's something that I strive to do everyday in my life. I try my hardest to read the scriptures regularly, and pray daily. Through making choices to come closer to God, I have felt greater peace and joy in my life. This isn't just some abstract idea, this gospel is real.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission for the Church and sharing how the gospel has brought great joy and happiness to my family.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, it is completely up to the individual if they would like to serve are not. When you serve a mission, you are serving the Lord. The prophets and apostles encourage all those who are worthy to go and share. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Well, the first thing we usually begin talking about is God and our relationship with him. He is our Father in Heaven and wants us to be happy and successful. We talk about His divine plan for us, and we also talk about how he communicates to us. We talk about our families and how we come closer together through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Of course we don't want anyone just to take our word for it, but find out themselves, so we give people opportunities to read the Book of Mormon and pamphlets that talk about the basic beliefs of our church.
