Hi I'm Thaddeus

I'm a mechanical engineer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and I recently received my masters degree in mechanical engineering and began working as a infrared sensor calibration engineer. I like playing ultimate frisbee and volleyball. I enjoy a good slurpee.

Why I am a Mormon

I've done a lot of religious studying, both the spiritual and scholarly types. In reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible I found good, delicious doctrines. In prayer I found that Father confirmed these teachings. In studying Joseph Smith and the origins of the Book of Mormon I found tremendous support for his miraculous story. And, in living close to the Lord's teachings I found peace.

How I live my faith

I have been called by the Lord to oversee the Sunday School program in my stake. I work with local leaders and teachers to ensure we stick to the revealed word of God. I strive to bring clarity and understanding to the scriptures. Every ward in the church has a 40-minute long Sunday School class right before or right after the main sacrament meeting, and visitors are always welcome. Ask your Mormon neighbors for the local schedule and directions to the meetinghouse.

What is faith?

Faith is confidence that following a given path will produce desired results. We are to have faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. This means we must have confidence in his teachings and believe that they will lead us to peace and eternal life. Some have walked a little further down this path than others. I have walked it a little while. I can testify that there is miraculous growth and joy even just a little way down the path and I invite you to try it. Show more Show less
