Hi I'm Per Øyvind

I'm a web manager living in Norway, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Per Øyvind and I live in the southern part of Norway. I am 44 years old, husband and father to a lovely daughter. I like to go skiing/snowboarding and have a passion for all kinds of gadgets. I went back to studying at the age of 33 to follow my interest in computers. That led me to the job I have now as a web manager.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. Following a period of interest in the spiritual parts of life I was introduced to the Book of Mormon by a friend at the age of 21. After being taught by the missionaries I found the principles of the church and the gospel to be a good match with how I thought things should be. I prayed and asked if this was the right way to go and received a personal witness of the truth. I was baptized a few months later and have enjoyed all the blessings of being a follower of Jesus Christ since then.

How I live my faith

I believe that being a follower of Jesus Christ is a practical thing. I need to practice what I believe. That's why I try to take good care of the people around me, and help others when I have a chance. Through serving in the church I've had the opportunity work with youth, provided leadership and taught classes. I try to live my faith by helping others and be positive.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Per Øyvind
Through the scriptures we learn that God can answer our questions. That's why you shouldn't trust anybody else to answer if Mormonism is true. The promise given in the Book of Mormon (Moroni chapter 10 verses 3-5) teaches us that we can get an personal answer through the Holy Ghost. That's what I got and it is open for anyone to receive.
