Hi I'm Marcos Menéndez

I'm a Mormon. I 'm originally from Ecuador and I love the Gospel.

About Me

I work with databases. It is interesting to see how technology has improved the way of life of humanity. We can be interconnected wherever on earth we live. We can research our roots easier with the technology we now have. I enjoy sports, especially soccer. It is fun to see mi kids enjoy a sport I grew up with.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my family. I cannot think what I would do without my wife and kids. Knowing that families can be together forever helps me to choose the right things in my daily life. I cannot express with words how thankful I am to Heavenly Father for the opportunity I have to know His Divine Plan for us, His children. I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ has restored His Gospel in these latter days to help us prepare us and our families for His Second Coming. Eternal Families is one of those restored truths in these latter days.

How I live my faith

As a bishopric counselor in a Student Ward, I have learned that our youth faces many challenges and trials in this life. Helping them understand how they can overcome obstacles to be truly happy regardless of the situation they face has helped me understand that in order to be more Christlike we need to share our burdens and help each other without expecting reward.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Marcos Menéndez
We believe that all Heavenly Father's children have the same opportunity of accepting the gospel at some point in their eternal lives, even if they have left this earthly existence. Therefore, those of us who are still in this world perform this sacred ordinance for those who have died with the hope that they will accept this redeeming ordinance in the Spirit World.
