Hi I'm Cecilia

I am a CPS caseworker. I am a full time student. I am a full time wife and mom. I'm a biker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as a CPS caseworker and am going to school to get my Master's of Social Work. My number one hobby is being a mom. I love spending time with my kids and doing crafts for them to make their childhoods special and unique. In my minimal spare time, I decorate cakes and do crafts. I also am a biker and spend all of my time on the bike serving other people with a very special organization with my husband. I have lived all over the world, including in California, Alaska (two different times), Russia and Italy. While doing all of these things, I have learned a lot about cultures and people. I love being around people and learning from them. I love to help others and look for opportunities on a regular basis. My stresses are relieved when I can see joy in others, especially my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I long ago realized that I cannot separate the Church from myself. I was born in the Church and was raised going to church often. I had my struggles throughout the years. I had many trials growing up. I know that the strength of the Church provided me the strength I needed. Even though I was in the Church my entire life, I didn't want to go on a mission. I ended up going on a mission, after I had a year long internal battle with myself and the Holy Ghost. While on my mission to Rome, I learned more about the Gospel, about Jesus Christ and eternal life. I gained a very strong testimony of the New Testament as I went places that Paul traveled. I read the Book of Mormon over and over and testified of it to people of over 80 countries. All of that has prepared me to be a mother and wife and for all of my other daily struggles. Without my testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, I would not be able to be who I am and have the strength and power to help others. I am now blessed to share the Gospel with my children. As I try and teach my children, I am amazed to hear of their testimonies and spiritual experiences. I am glad to see that they have testimonies of faith, their divinity as children of God and of the reality of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I spend about 10-20 hours a month doing volunteer service, helping abused children. I have been blessed with the knowledge of the Gospel and a special testimony of trials so I can help the abused and neglected children that is often so hard for others to face. To prepare me for this, I have had many teaching opportunities in church, teaching children 18 months through 10 years old. I have also taught the youth of the Church from 12-18. I was a missionary for the Church and have worked in a number of other religious organizations. I value the time that I can visit women in my area, to uplift them and bring them messages of the Gospel that they can apply in their lives. While serving others, I have learned that I gain the most blessings, as I am in the service of my God when I serve others.

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision was the very beginning of the restoration of everything that had been lost since Christ and his apostles were killed. The First Vision reminds me that Heavenly Father can and will talk to his children. I know that I receive personal revelation today. Show more Show less
