Hi I'm Kelly

I'm a backyard entomologist, crazy for crochet, and a Mormon. I love being a wife and a mother of 5; my family is my treasure.

About Me

My days are filled with taking care of 5 children and my eternal sweetheart. I am happy to be home and be there for them. I am very interested in biology, especially entomology (insects), love to crochet and sew, & I'm teaching myself to knit. I paint and sketch; I have entered a few art contests and enjoy art. One day I would like to teach a children's art class. I used to dance and would love to take more classes. I graduated from a university with a bachelors in conservation biology, I'm planning on going back one day to continue my education. I feel each day is a day to learn & my little family has taught me so much.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that my Father in Heaven is aware of me and that he loves me. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He loves me, too. I feel their love every day, even when I don't feel like I deserve it. I know that we have a living prohet and apostles who hold the authority and power of the priesthood. I know that Heavenly Father guides us through these great men, as well as through personal revelation. I know that He hears my prayers. He wants us to succeed and return to Him with our families. I am so grateful for His help and love.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful for opportunities to serve others. My husband and I don't have much but we have always been blessed with just what we need. I find joy in showing my gratitude to Heavenly Father by sharing my blessings and serving His children. It makes me so happy to serve in my ward, they have truly become my family. I have worked with the children and youth in the ward, it is so much fun. It also strengthens my belief in the importance of teaching and nurturing children. They face so much and are such amazing people. They inspire me to be better.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Our bodies and spirits seperate and our spirits go to a prepared place to await resurrection (being reunited with their perfected body) and judgement for works done on the earth. We beleive these waiting spirits still have agency and there is still work going on to share the gospel with those who have not had it. We here on the earth are able to go to the temple and do work for the dead so that if they accept the gospel they can still recieve the ordinances necessary to live with Heavenly Father & their families again. What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

To provide relief and help to those in need. I love that the help provided includes teaching those who are in need how to be self-reliant as well so they can help themselves and others in the future. Show more Show less
