Hi I'm M. Kershaw

I work in healthcare administration. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Married and have a family of 4 wonderful children. I love watching them play soccer and dance. I come from a family of 9 children and have a twin sister. I enjoy running, my wife's pot roast dinners, naps (when I can find the time), vacationing at Cannon Beach Oregon and watching University of Utah Football!

Why I am a Mormon

I guess you could say I'm a Mormon, because my parents and their parents before them going back to the pioneers were Mormon, but that alone would not be enough to keep me converted. I'm a Mormon because I wanted to find out for myself if it was true and not just because of my ancestors, although they have had a significant impact on me. There isn't one singular exprience that I could say converted me, but rather an accumulation of life events. Experiences such as, I've had a chance to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. I've served a mission to Mexico and taught the people there the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to my best friend and wonderful wife. It was because of these experiences and more that I have a testimony of this Church and is also why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to do this through following the Savior's example of giving service to others. In addition to my own family I enjoy serving my Ward family as Bishop.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

M. Kershaw
Yes! That is the beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! That through his Atonement and a sealing ceremony in the House of the Lord by one who holds His holy Priesthood you can be sealed to your spouse forever. It was 20 years ago that I was sealed to my best friend and sweetheart and because of that our children in turn will be sealed to us forever. That gives me comfort and peace that no matter what happens they are mine as long as they live the Gospel. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

M. Kershaw
Part of the service that the Savior expects of his people is within the Church. It's these service opportunities that help us to become more like him because the only motivation is our love for the Savior and for each other in helping each other to become a little better. Show more Show less
