Hi I'm Lindsay Marie

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I am a college student, studying Speech Pathology. I love singing, playing the piano, the outdoors, and my Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ, and that it has been restored fully. I am a Mormon because I have received answers to my prayers in so many regards, including Joseph Smith's divine mission. I pray to know that this gospel is true often, and the Spirit always testifies that it is.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the way I treat others. I believe that everyone we meet is a child of God, and it is my duty to treat them as who they are. I live my faith by dressing modestly. Dressing modestly shows respect for myself and for men that I meet. It also shows my love for my Heavenly Father. I live my faith by listening to good music that is uplifting, yet fun.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Lindsay Marie
Yes, I do. I believe that God is unchangeable, that He is the same God now and forever. Which leads me to ask, why wouldn't He bless us with a prophet? I know that He has because I have listened to the words of Thomas S. Monson and have applied them to my life and seen the blessings he has promised. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven't we always had the Bible?

Lindsay Marie
The Restoration of the Gospel was needed because after the death of Christ and his apostles, changes were made to the Bible. We believe in the Bible as long as it is translated correctly. Doctrines taught by Jesus Christ were changed and misunderstood and without the priesthood or prophets to guide the people, confusion was everywhere. The Restoration brought the knowledge that was lost back so that it could be found again. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Lindsay Marie
No. We do not worship Joseph Smith. He was a good man and I am very grateful for his example and for his sacrifice. I respect him and love him, but I do not worship him. I worship my Heavenly Father, and my Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Lindsay Marie
The First Vision is the experience that Joseph Smith had in the Sacred Grove. He prayed vocally for the first time and ask God which church he should join. This question had been on his mind constantly. God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him that the true gospel was not on the earth at the time. He had received an answer to his prayer. Just like we can. Show more Show less
