Hi I'm Jason

I'm a recent college graduate. I enjoy playing video games. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from college, and am now looking to move forward in my life and prepare to have a family. I served a mission, which was amazing. I enjoy filming and editing videos, as well reading and writing, spending time with friends, playing games, and studying the scriptures and learning from them and the amazing lessons they have to teach.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church all my life, but it has been my choice to stay with it. I was always encouraged to ask questions and to find out for myself if it was true or not. There have been many questions that I have asked in my life, things that I have wondered. I have studied and learn, and while I have tried to be consistent, there have been times when I have not been consistent. There have been times when following the commandments has been a challenge. But I have learned, through my own personal experiences, that living the commandments and the gospel of Jesus Christ really does bring happiness and peace in life. I have found joy beyond anything else in following the commandments, and I know that I am happier by living the gospel, as well as healthier and safer. I have felt the love of God and Christ in my life, and have found nothing better.

How I live my faith

At church I participate in Sunday School classes and have taught these classes. I work to help others who are struggling with their faith, or who have questions about the Church or about life in general. I try to be open and friendly and have a happy, positive demeanor all the time. I work to live my standards, and work to respect the beliefs and standards of others in turn.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Jason
We perform this work, just as the original Christians did (see Corinthians 15:29) for the salvation of those who have passed on without the opportunity to learn about and accept the gospel while they were living on the earth. It is one of the greatest expressions of the love of God because it shows that all are able to be admitted into heaven. The performing of these baptisms does not mean that they are forced to accept it. They are still able to choose for themselves to accept it or not, but the work is done, allowing them the opportunity to return to God. Show more Show less
