Hi I'm Braden

I grew up in Utah. I love to sing and write. I'm a happy Mormon.

About Me

I like to write, and I am currently trying to write my first novel. I have worked construction to save money for my mission. I like to build things. I am planning to go to college after my mission. I like to play my guitar and write songs. I hope to be able to sing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because life is hard, I know it, but I also know that living standards of the gospel actually make life easier. I was born into the church and I am so grateful for my parents for keeping their expectations of me high. I know that Jesus Christ lives, I know that He has atoned for my sins. He has helped me in my greatest hours of need. My testimony is very important to me. I feel the spirit of the Lord every time I think about him.

How I live my faith

I live the gospel to the best of my abilities. I read my scriptures every day for at least half an hour. When I read them I feel more at peace with who I am and with decisions I am making. I go hometeaching to two families in our ward and I really enjoy visiting with them each month. Whenever I go to work I keep up my standards of keeping clean language. In construction, some others don't always have clean language. But telling them my standards simply shows them my light.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Braden
Whenever I read the Book of Mormon I can feel, almost instantly, the spirit of the Lord. I can more fully understand it's principles and teachings when the feeling of warmth and peace come over me. I decide to read the Book of Mormon every day to feel that spirit and comfort. After I read the scriptures I realize I can focus better on the decisions I am making every day. I also read the Book of Mormon when I am tempted to make unrighteous decisions, the light chases away the darkness and I feel strengthened and more resolved to keep the commandments of God. Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Braden
I believe that the missionaries proselyte because they want to share the wonderful news of the gospel with you. When someone or something makes you happy, you really just want to share it. So this is why I have decided to serve a mission, to share the gospel so others can be happy too. Show more Show less
