Hi I'm Scott

I live in Arizona, and I served a mission in the Philippines. I accept Jesus as my Savior, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and a father of 3 young children. I am a college graduate of Northern Arizona University. I enjoy spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church after seeing the example of many of the men in the Church. These men would work normal jobs, then volunteer their time in the evenings and weekends in order to serve God and their neighbors. I wanted to belong to a church that required men to be strong examples in their home and community.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving my family and God enough to do the right thing. If I obey the Lord's commandments by trying as hard as I can to live a righteous life, then I can look forward to the Lord's blessings.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

We believe that each individual should take care of one's own needs and the needs of their family. It is not about being ready for the biggest disaster that may come. It is about preparing for a bad day first, then a bad week, and so on until you are ready for any disaster that may come. This is something we learn step by step. Show more Show less
