Hi I'm John

I'm a Mormon and proud of it

About Me

I'm 45 years old, happily married and a proud father of three children ( two in college and one in high school ) I own a software company by trade and spend most of my time, while not at work, with my kids. Whether coaching soccer, wake or snow boarding, bike riding or volunteering service, we are always busy.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 17 years old. I had ben part of several Protestant churches while growing up, mostly baptist, and enjoyed all of them. However, the teachings of Jesus Christ, found in the LDS church felt right. I was able to feel the spirit of my Heavenly Father stronger than ever before, it testified to me f the truthfulness of what I had learned. It was more like remembering forgotten truths than learning something new. When I sent my kids off to college, I made sure they had a way to get home. In a similar manner, our Heavenly Father provided a way for us to get home and a way to discern truth from non truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by servings the members of our congregation and community. I have opportunities to teach the children, youth and adults as well as administrate the affairs of our congregation. My favorite thing is to work with the young men and young woman, to help teach them about our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ as well as to help them develop leadership skills that they can use throughout their lives.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?
