Hi I'm Trent

I'm a family man. I help people manage money. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I'm not at work helping people manage their money, I'm spending time with my wife and our four kids. On occasion I find time for biking, golfing, hiking and skiing. I love to take my family camping and to explore trails and to sit around a campfire roasting hot dogs and making s'mores. I love to have fun with friends and neighbors and I often invite others to join me for a game night or a family night or to celebrate a holiday or a birthday. I'm passionate about helping the poor and the needy and I love to be of service and to help others. I volunteer when I hear that someone needs help moving or needs help with their yard work a difficult project. And I'm told that I'm good at providing a listening ear when someone else needs to share what's on their heart and mind.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't think of a better way to spend my time and raise my family than with the values that Mormon's live. But for me, it goes deeper than that; I know that the principles taught in the Bible and the Book of Mormon are true and important. For many years I relied on my parents and teachers and their beliefs. Then one day I decided that I needed to make a decision for myself as to what I believed. I read the Book of Mormon and I knelt in prayer and asked my Heavenly Father if this church is where I belonged and if this is His church. I received a feeling of warmth and joy and a clear impression in my mind that as long as I keep the commandments and live the values taught by Jesus Christ and His prophets that I will always know that this is His church and I do belong here. Every time I help someone or do a good thing and every time I read the words of the prophets in the holy scriptures, I get an overwhelming feeling of peace and reassurance that Jesus Christ is my Savior, my friend and the way. I know that I'm in the right place and it helps me to know and associate with others who have and live the same values and encourage me to be a better person. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My faith is what gives my life purpose and helps guide every decision I make. When I was deciding where to go to school I relied on my faith for the answer. When I was deciding who to marry I relied on my faith for the answer. When I was seeking employment I relied on my faith for the answer. When life presents challenges and I'm not sure what to do or say I rely on my faith for an answer. My Heavenly Father gave me His Holy Spirit to guide me and prompt me throughout every day. When I do my best to keep Jesus Christ's commandments and to live as He did then I feel good inside and I feel the presence of the Holy Spirit guiding me. When I am faced with opposition from within myself and from others I turn to the words of the prophets in the scriptures and I find strength to stay the course and strength to make necessary changes in my life.
