Hi I'm Margaret Amelia

I grew up in Baltimore MD and now I live in Glen Burnie MD. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am fully active member in the church of Jesus Christ and The Latter Day Saints. I am the only one in my family in the church but as the only member I am trying to set an example to my 7 nephews and nieces. I want them in time when they are older enough to come to the truth themselves.I am 28 years old and I work full time at UA but my real full time job is doing the Lord work. I love to read, write, make homemade chocolate candy and I love to swim.

Why I am a Mormon

I came to the church through my best friend after he was Baptized. I was an Wiccan while he was investigating the church. He was baptized 2 years ago in April but I didn't get to be there for him cause we had gotten into a huge fight a week before. But a few weeks after he was Baptized we started to talk and we worked things out. He had ask me to go to his ward cause he giving a talk and wanted me to be there so I went. The next thing he invited me to was Stake Conference and after that I was suspended from work for 2 days. On the first day I went with my best friend and his friend Liz down to the Temple. I remember stepping out of the car feeling something go through me and after talking to my best friend I realize it was the spirit. I later that day went with them to Institute Of Religion class with them and started meeting other YSA's in the church. It wasn't til General Conference when I got a copy of the Book of Mormon cause my best friend realize he never gave me a copy so he ask one of the missionaries for a Book of Mormon. After awhile of being stubborn decided to talk with the missionaries while reading the book of Mormon. They told me to pray about the Book of Mormon and the church which I did. I felt something confirm to me that is was. Later the missionaries ask me to be baptize which at first I said no but after a week of thinking I said yes and was Baptized on Nov 15 2008. I had the Holy Ghost confirm to me on Nov 16 2008. I received my calling as a YSA rep several months later, than about a year after my Baptism I went for my Temple recommend and went for my own Endowment in December. I love to go to the Temple whenever I can. I know this Church is true that Joesph Smith was called as a prophet to restore the church here on the Earth in this time. I also believe Thomas S Monson is the current prophet to guide us and to help us in the world today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading and studying my Scriptures almost everyday. I have 2 callings now in my ward. I am YSA rep and a Visiting Teacher Supervisor. I had my one calling for close to threes years now. 2 years at my old branch and now at my ward I am in now. As being rep for my ward for my stake I had helped raise the activity of the YSA's here. Cause of my dedication to the YSA's and wanted to get more activities for us to do on a monthly bases. I am working on my new calling now and in time I will do well in my new calling. I will say one thing for sure being in the church had helped me deal with the death of my father back in November of 2011. My father lost the battle with cancer and he lost was hard on me. A day after we buried my older brother wife who my dad hated started her crap. Cause of this we lost seeing my 2 oldest nephews who my family helped raised for years but I trust the Lord and have an amazing testimony of the church. I know the Lord will answer my prayers for my mom, sister and me to see and be able to spend all the time we can with my 2 oldest nephews. Also for my older brother to wake up and realize his mistake. His wife will learn the truth of her lies and learn what will happen if she doesn't repent. This church is true, The book of Mormon is true, The Holy Bible is true and Thomas S Monson is the currant prophet and I say this in Jesus Christ name Amen.
