Hi I'm Patrick

I'm a husband, father, working man, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been blessed with a wonderful wife of two years and a beautiful daughter. It is a wonderful blessing to see our little family grow and get established. I am currently going to school as a history major. I love college football and basketball-I'm a die hard BYU fan, camping, hiking, gardening, working on cars, being with family, and really good food.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because of the promised blessings from the Lord. I cannot imagine a Heaven that would not allow me to continue my marriage with my wonderful wife. I cannot imagine a Heaven that would not include my family and friends. To me the promises given to us through the Gospel of Jesus Christ just make sense. A loving Heavenly Father would want us to be happy, and I find my greatest happiness through my family. But my belief goes far beyond just wishful thinking. I have had many experiences confirming to me that these are the blessings Heavenly Father wants us all to have. I have had my heart touched as I realized the possibilities that are mine through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I have seen first hand His divine love in my own life and in the lives of many others. I know that God called Joseph Smith to be a prophet in these last days to ensure that His children would be taught the Gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and it is from its pages that I have learned about the blessings that Father-in-Heaven has in store for us. I have read the Book, pondered it in my heart, and asked God if it was true. He answered me, and I know that he will answer all who diligently seek.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve as the Savior served. While I'm nowhere near that level of selflessness I try my best to help those around me. I visit several families every month to see how they are doing and to share a gospel message. We strive hard to bring the Spirit into their homes. I also am privileged to work with the men in my ward. Together we try to serve others, learn how to be better husbands and fathers, and have activities that strengthen our friendship. I try to live my life in a way that others will see something different in me and want to know what makes me different. I read the scriptures, pray, and serve wherever the Lord would have me.
