Hi I'm David

My wife and I are living the dream in the East Bay area of CA.

About Me

My wife and I recently moved near San Francisco, CA. We welcomed our first child into our family at the beginning of 2014 and love him so much. I live an absolutely blessed life! I enjoy sports, working, playing with our son, hiking, video games, movies, work, and serving at church. The best part is my wife and I enjoy doing all of these things together! We center our lives around the Gospel of Christ and strive to follow his teachings. We do have our fair share of struggles, but we have too many great people and blessings in our lives to complain.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon because that's the church my parents joined when I was young. I am still a Mormon because that's what the Lord has told me to do. Being a Mormon isn't easy because the Lord has many commandments that He asks us to follow, but the way I see it is that if what I believe is true then why wouldn't I follow His commandments.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a choice that I made because I know the Lord wants me to. I live the commandments and try to keep myself clean in the Lord's eyes. I attend my different church meetings. My wife and I read the scriptures and pray together every day so we can keep our minds centered on the gospel instead of the world.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Knowing our Father in Heaven is one of the first steps to gaining a testimony of His gospel. Everyone has this question at some point in their life. I know I did! Whatever your background, it first starts with a desire to know if God is real or if He isn't. Not just as a passive thought, but a real desire. Then we need to ask Him directly. If we're willing to follow the answer He gives us then He will reveal it through the power of the Holy Ghost. This will come as a feeling or impression that is warm and good. It is the same feeling a person gets when they are married to the one they love, see their child do something good, or give service. It will come as a feeling different than emotions. Pay attention to it as you pray and then ask what else the Lord would have you do :) Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a boy with a question. "Which church is true?" He never dreamed or planned on becoming the prophet to restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but he accepted the call that was given when Heavenly Father asked him to restore it. Show more Show less
