Hi I'm Sarah Marguerite

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and have 3 amazing children. Our family has a dog, a cat & 4 turtles. Our family LOVES the fresh fruits & veggies we get from our home garden & we just started raising 8 urban chickens for fresh eggs too. I enjoy singing & entertaining. I love swimming, the beach & camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church about 3 years ago. My husband is a life long member. I had lots of good LDS friends in jr high & high school, but never attended the LDS church. After taking the missionary discussions and praying I decided to be baptized. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I like to study the scriptures. I love listening to church hymns & Mormon Tabernacle Choir cd's. I like substituting in the childrens sunday school classes. I am an active member of our ward/congregation. I am the chairperson of our ward activities committee. I love planning all our fun get togethers and parties. I attend the temple as often as possible. I also teach a monthly class for our womens group. I strive to be an example to my children of how Heavenly Father would want them to dress, act & speak. We live our lives as close as possible in accordance with the laws & ordinances of the gospel. I do not smoke or drink and obey what our church calls "The Word of Wisdom".

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Sarah Marguerite
A ward is your church congregation based on the area you live. A stake is a grouping of local wards put together. A branch is a smaller and sometimes more specialized congregation in the area, such as a "Spanish or Hmong Branch". Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Sarah Marguerite
The missionaries will talk to you about: The Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the First Vision, The Plan of Salvation, The Word of Wisdom, The Family: A Proclamation to the World & The 13 Articles of Faith. These are all main pillars of our religion. Sometimes the missionaries feel compelled to teach you about other things that they feel are important to you after talking with you or receiving personal revelation about a certain subject. They will also invite you to join us for church on Sunday and challenge you to read certain scriptures as "homework" before they come visit you again. Together you will also read from the scriptures which includes: The Holy Bible, The Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, as well as The Pearl of Great Price. Show more Show less
