Hi I'm Ariane

I'm a sister, friend, aunt, and daughter. I love my life! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I truly love my busy life! I teach school and during the summer I coach a swim team. I live with three great roommates. I like being with my friends and family. I try to go on adventures as much as possible. I love serving in the church and find opportunities to use my talents. I love camping, but not hiking. I love playing sports. I love reading. My family has tacos every Sunday after church and they are the highlight of my week.

Why I am a Mormon

In the world we live in, life can be complicated and unsure. I am grateful for a clear understanding of who I am and where I am going. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has given me peace that surpasses all understanding. When life gets difficult and answers are hard to find in the world, I am able to have confidence in my choices. I know that it is because I am lead my a modern prophet who helps me see the path I should take. He is the mouth piece for the Lord today. Just like in ancient days, we have a prophet today who can warn and guide us through the hard times. What peace and comfort!

How I live my faith

I am grateful to have opportunities to serve others. I have the opportunity to help organize the activities for the Young Single Adults in my city. I help coordinate dances, sport/game activities, special speakers, and service projects. We have a committee with about 30 people and we work together to plan activities for about 1,000 people. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with amazing people and help organize good wholesome activities for my peers. I also have the opportunity to lead the choir for my congregation. I also help the girls 12-18 at their summer camp. Having such diverse opportunities to serve helps me to develop new talents. Really I never thought I could lead a choir much less sing in a choir, but given the opportunity to serve I gained new skills.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Ariane
Our Heavenly Father wisely created women and men very different. We each have unique gifts, talents, and abilities. For example, women were given the ability to bear and nurture children. Men were given other gifts. He gave men the ability to receive the Priesthood, or power to act in his name. Within the church, we have different roles. Women within the Mormon faith, serve as heads of committees and organizations. Women work with the children and youth. Women also help visit those in need, plan activities, lead choirs, organize service projects, and teach classes. The men and women within the church work together to help accomplish these activities. We need each other to succeed. Show more Show less
