Hi I'm Stefan

I want to be a physicist. I'm from Washington State. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student working towards my bachelors degree. I enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, and have a love for music. Science has always held me captivated, especially physics, which I am currently studying. I have a passion for learning, and big ambitions to eventually obtain a Ph.D in Physics.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon by choice, and because of my personal experiences. My conversion to the gospel didn't come right away even though I was born into a family of members. It wasn't until I was eighteen that I desired to know if the gospel was true. My answer and conviction came after several hours of pondering the teachings found in the Book of Mormon and many prayers. I didn't know what to expect, but I could feel my Heavenly Fathers love for me as I prayed for an understanding of the Book of Mormons truthfulness. At this time, peace came over me and a thought was impressed upon my mind that there is a God who loves me, and that His desire is that I succeed and eventually return to live with Him again someday. This experience, strengthened by many others over the years, is why I have faith and hope. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the small, simple daily opportunities that I am given by my Heavenly Father. Things like helping someone to smile, or sharing my optimism for life with a friend who is feeling down on themselves are ways I share the love my Savior has for me. Occasionally, I find times to share my love for the gospel that I am a part of by giving talks on Sunday or leading a class discussion on gospel topics at church.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Of the many reasons why we need a Savior, one in particular comes to mind. We need a perfect example to follow and live by. In every instance of my life, what I know is a result of something I learned from someone else. Jesus Christ set an example that motivates me to live up to my full potential. He is the one that I can turn to for better understanding in all areas and aspects of life. Without this example, for me, it would be harder to believe that I can become a better person than I am now. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Realizing that I can talk with my Heavenly Father through prayer has helped me personally come to know who He is. Through my sincere prayers I've been able to find comfort and guidance throughout my life. This guidance is a blessing, and evidence to me that He lives and loves me as his child. Praying daily has helped me to know my Father in Heaven, and strengthened my faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Similarly, I've been able to develop a better understanding of my Heavenly Father through the writings of the prophets and scriptures. The scriptures contain profound truths that, along with prayer, have helped me to understand who my Father is and the plan He has for me. I know that frequent and sincere prayers can help me to further build the relationship and understanding I have of and with my Heavenly Father. I know He lives and loves me and you and He wants each of His children to know Him and talk to Him. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The message that missionaries hope to share is one of love. Missionaries sacrifice time out of their lives to move away from home, spend each day teaching, and often times learn a completely new language because they want to teach you that you have a Father in Heaven who loves you, and a Savior who has made it possible for your to return to Him. The joy that comes from knowing there is a God, and that He loves each of us is important to us and the missionaries who you meet. Missionaries who visit your home can teach you about the plan that our Heavenly Father has made for us, and how it can help us to recognize His hand in our lives. Show more Show less
