Hi I'm Jean Ely

I am one of those many cool Mormons that you already know and who are always smiling...

About Me

My passion is Reading and Sports. I read any book that has anything about Religion, Business, I also like reading Mystery Books and a few Novels. On Monday Night after 9:00 p.m., you will find me watching Wrestling to kill time and refresh myself a little bit... By the way, I am the young man who is always Smiling!

Why I am a Mormon

There are times when incertitude, unbelief and doubts are the only elements that occupy your mind. Such was my case on my last year of High School. I had many questions and almost no answer. I wanted to know why God, in his omniscience ad omnipotence, allows certain things to happen. It seems to me that certain facts were not the evidence of a fair and just god. I am thankful that I associated myself with a group of Mormon Friends who were so nice to give me a Book of Mormon and let me borrow some of their other Church books. As I read the Book of Mormon and the other books, I came to understand about the freedom that God has given us to choose for ourselves and the consequences thereof. I learned how fair and just and loving He is by giving every one who has ever lived on this earth an opportunity to listen, to receive or reject the Gospel. And I learned more about the Savior Jesus Christ, his suffering for me and how He has establish his Church to help me become closer to God. The doctrines were different from what I have learned from my childhood. But as I prayed and asked about what I have learned, I felt a way I have never felt before. And every time I make a correct decision or choice, I feel the same and I decided to follow it. Because of this my life has changed completely, I am a better person now and my friends and family have seen it also. "It is not always easy to follow something you just know, but as you know it to be true and makes you a better person and brings you closer to God and Jesus Christ, you will do all you can to keep it."

How I live my faith

Since I became a member of the Church, I have had many opportunities to serve and live my faith. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve my friends, families, and even others that I don't know. I love to teach the Youth and helping them making correct decisions. I also love to visit others, helping out to the extent of my possibility. I love interacting with people and make them laugh...
