Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First of all, I am a mom of 3 children and I live in the state of Minnesota. Currently, I have a part time job as a literacy tutor in an elementary school, which I love. My favorite hobby is music. I love to sing. I love to listen to all kinds of music and I play the piano. I also try to stay in shape by competing in triathlons and half marathons. Mainly I compete with myself since I am slow going, but I love the challenge and I love finishing the goal after training so hard. My three children consist of one young adult and two teenagers. My young adult is on a church mission in the Philippines and my two teenagers keep me busy running them around to friends, band, choral events and sports activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life, but of course in the young adult years you have the opportunity to really find out what you believe in. That happened to me as I turned 18. As I left home, I realized even more so why I believe in this faith. It gives me direction and peace and puts my life into perspective. I am a better person because of it. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I know that he has a plan for me. I learn that by studying the scriptures, listening to our current prophet, and lots of prayers. 25 years later, I still feel that way, and even more deeply as I have continued to learn and serve God.

How I live my faith

At home, I live my faith, by continuously searching the scriptures and praying and despite the fact that I work, I try to keep my family #1 on the list and support them. I also have a chance at this time to work with the children in our church helping them to learn the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. We are grateful for the sacrifice he made for restoring the gospel and amazed by all that he was able to accomplish, but we do not worship him Show more Show less
