Hi I'm Donna

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 61-year old wife / grandma / mom / sister / friend as of Nov 2011. After being "on my own" for over 20 years, I got married to a wonderful man on 9-10-11. It was a GREAT decision! I LOVE to square dance AND round dance. (My new husband is taking lessons.) I have 15 grandchildren, which make all the effort I put into parenting worthwhile. I am learning to garden, & after years of practice, I am still learning. I am a Mormon, and am so blessed to be one.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were Mormon, and therefore I was brought up going to church every Sunday, and learing its teachings. When I left home, I continued going to church, this time because I wanted to, & not just because it was "something we were suppose to do". I know God wants us to be happy, and the best way for that is to follow His commandments. The doctrines of the Church is why I continue to follow His gospel such as the following, "The importance of the family," "The importance of treating your neighbor as you would want to be treated," "We lived before we came to earth," "Our spirits will contine to live after we die," "We will all be resurrected," We can live together again as families in the hereafter," "The Savior made it possible for us to repent & try again and again, and again," "God knows each one of us as individuals...our names, our likes, our needs."

How I live my faith

It's important to me to go to church every Sunday & partake of the sacrament, to remember my promises to God & His to me. It's important to me to feel His spirit, and to associate with others that share the same beliefs I do. It's important to me to accept what is asked of me to do in my ward. Currently I am a ward missionary. It's important to me to try to keep God's commandments. I want to be a good neighbor & friend.
