Hi I'm Lindsay

I'm a daughter, sister, wife, mother of 3, cook, and food blogger. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and a mother of two beautiful children. My husband is an engineer - he is my best friend and the love of my life. We met in a big band swing dance class in college. He was too shy to ask me out - so I gave in and asked him out. We were married less than a year later. Our firstborn child lives in heaven, he passed away just before his first birthday. He is a great reminder to me each day of where I am going. Our daughter was born about 2 years after my son. She bring so much joy and happiness into our home. I LOVE to cook! My sister and I have our own recipe blog where we post about all of our family favorites. I love learning about health and incorporating it into our family life. My husband and I also enjoy mountain biking. When we first got married I wasn't very in to biking. But he has made it lots more exciting! He bought me some biking shorts, jersey and gloves, so now I'm all decked out when I go. We miss living right next to the mountains. We also love to bike on slick rock trails.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel like there are too many reasons to list 'why I am a Mormon'. The Gospel bring so much joy and meaning into my life. It's a part of everything I do and everything that I am. I find peace and comfort in knowing that if I do my best in this life, the Savior atoned to make up for my weakness, sins and shortcomings. Knowing this drives me to become better each day. I also love that a big focus in our church is on the family. My family is the most important thing I have on this earth. Knowing that we are sealed to each other for time and eternity makes me feel so happy. I have always know that families are forever, but until our son passed away I never knew it with so much conviction. The Savior, Jesus Christ, is a huge part of my life. I know that He died for me and that through Him I can repent and come close to him and be able to be with my family throughout eternity.

How I live my faith

My responsibility in our ward is to teach the sisters during the last hour of our church block. I love having this calling. I get to study a certain topic in depth and share it with the sisters in our ward. I learn so much by doing this. It's also a great opportunity for me to get to know others.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

A husband and wife can be together forever though the sealing power of the priesthood. We are sealed together as a husband and wife in the Holy Temple. Children who are born into a family where husband and wife are sealed are also sealed to them, and have the blessing of being together forever. I know that we will be able to be together again when we pass from this life and return to Heaven. It will be such a wonderful day.  Show more Show less
