Hi I'm Cindy Lee

I love music. I love the ocean. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of 7 children (ages 8 to 28) and grandmother of 2. We are a musical family. Between us all we have an harpist, a violinist, a flute player, a trumpet player, a guitar player, several pianists and singers and even a harmonica player. I love teaching. I teach piano lessons and used to teach swimming lessons. I graduated from BYU over 20 years ago in Elementary Education. We love camping, hunting, cruising and travel, reading, Disneyland, horseback riding, water-skiing, and the gospel. I have a son in medical school in Arizona, a daughter living in Denver, Colorado with her little family and a missionary daughter in Neuquen, Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from pioneer ancestors who joined the church in its infancy. I was raised by righteous parents in a home filled with learning, light and love. My faith was nurtured there and has continued to grow. I am grateful that we each matter to God. I am grateful for the many tender mercies he has sent to me in my life. I am especially grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost and the direction I receive from the scriptures. I love the temple and the sealing power that blesses my family. I am grateful for a ward "family" (our local congregation) and the support and love they offer. I am grateful for the hope the gospel gives me in perilous and difficult times. I am grateful that we have a prophet and apostles to guide us. I love my Savior and I am grateful for the relationship I have with Him that continues to grow each day. He loves me and understands my thoughts and desires. He covers my weakness with His power and mercy.

How I live my faith

I serve as a cub scout committee chairman in my area. I help to provide a scouting program for boys ages 8 to 11. I am also the organist for our Sunday worship service. My husband is a counselor in our Stake Presidency. A stake is a large group of several local congregations. We spend many hours in service in the church. Our children serve also in leadership positions for their age groups and accept opportunities to speak in meetings, clean buildings and grounds, perform musically where they can, and many other areas. In this way, they experience for themselves the hand of the Lord helping and teaching them to be more than they would otherwise be. Our oldest son was a missionary in Winnipeg, Canada. Our 3rd daughter is a missionary in Argentina. My husband served his mission in Boston, Mass. and Maine. When our children are grown, my husband and I hope to serve a mission together wherever the Lord needs us. We want others to have what we have. My husband and I sponsored a woman from Brazil so she could become a U. S. citizen. We have shared our home with other people's children when they needed help. I am involved politically and have served as a Caucus Host in my neighborhood precinct.
