Hi I'm Becky

I'm a wife and the full-time mother of 4. I'm a theatre director and drama teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a stay-at-home Mom for my 4 great kids. My husband is an engineer and works from his home office. We love spending time together as a family. We love to go to the mountains, we like cycling, taking Sunday walks, dancing in the family room, and playing sports at the park. I am also a theatre director and drama teacher and teach weekly classes at a specialty school. I love to sing and also have degree in musical theater.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is just what it claims to be: The Church of Jesus Christ. And I want to be close to Jesus and follow him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best each day to follow the Savior's teachings. I find many opportunities each day to do this in my own home with my children and my husband. This can be challenging at times, but is also the most rewarding. In church I really enjoy working with the Young Women (teenage girls) program and have helped organize many events for them. As I have labored to help them develop their faith, my faith has also grown. Additionally, I try to live my faith by being a good neighbor and member of our community.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are strong, independent thinkers, and fill many leadership roles in the church. We most definitely believe that men and women work together as equal partners. This is true in the church and is also true in the home. We also believe that men and women should respect and support each other, as well as appreciate the unique qualities that each brings to the partnership. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that the family is the most important unit in society and in eternity. We believe our Father in Heaven sent us to this earth life in families so that we could learn the lessons we needed to learn in order to return back to him. Family relationships are where we experience our greatest joys and oft times our greatest sorrows. It is possible for families to be together forever, even after death. Why would God want us to experience all we do in this life with our loved ones only for these important relationships to be severed at death? Our Father in Heaven has provided a way, through his son Jesus Christ, for family relationships to continue. This is what life is all about. This knowledge brings me great hope and the sweetest of all assurances. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The atonement is simply a word that encompasses all of what Jesus Christ has done for us. Most importantly, he "atoned" for each one of us personally. This allows us the opportunity to change and improve ourselves, even though we are imperfect and make mistakes. We can come unto him through repentance and be "born again." Because the Savior suffered in our stead, everything we experience in life can work for our good if we choose to follow Him. Show more Show less
