Hi I'm Kathryne

My mom decided to join the church during the spring of my 14th year and I followed after a bit of a fight.

About Me

I'm a college graduate with a BA in psychology. I graduated in July of 2012 and was 7 months pregnant. Now I am a mother of a baby boy. To help save or make money I do babysitting and nanny jobs while my husband completes his schooling. It enables me to care for my son and help us spend less than we make.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel rings true to my soul. I feel a burning in my bosom that it is right. When I was 14 my mother wanted to join the church. She said I had to speak with the missionaries just once and then decide. I resisted and moved out to live with my grandma for a week. Along with studying for finals without an argument. I relented within a week when things had come down and came back home to live with my mom and dad. My brother and I listened to the lessons along with my mother and we decided to join on 31. My Dad never joined the church but respects and has always supported me in my efforts to be an active Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by obeying the promises I make with my Heavenly Father. I strive to obey the standards of the church and attend the temples regularly. I try and be available to care for my child. Meaning putting off graduate school until my children have grown. I try and do my visiting teachers to the women of the church I am assigned to visit with.
