Hi I'm Michelle Sylvia

I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my sweetheart for 24 years. I am a stay-at-home mom to our four kids. I enjoy crafting, blogging, reading and serving in the Church.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church at the age of 22. Prior to that time, I had faith in Christ and felt that there was more that was expected of us. I had a desire to know what His plan was for me. When I was taught about the Church by missionaries, I felt that I already knew each of the truths that they shared with me. I was excited to learn of the Plan of Salvation. And I was especially excited to be able to be sealed to my spouse for eternity. I know that my family is forever and I hope that as the years pass, all of my extended family will feel the same excitement about the gospel that I do.

How I live my faith

I love serving the children at Church. I work with the children aged 18mos. through 11 years. The children are such a delight to share the gospel with. Visiting Teaching is another way that I serve in the Church. Getting to know other sisters in my area and my ward strengthens friendships and brings me joy. The most important way that I live my faith is in the way that I interact with my family. Family values and honest standards make our family strong as well as making each one of us strong as individuals.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Michelle Sylvia
We do believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly. We use the King James version of the Bible. Show more Show less
