Hi I'm Joe

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have two sons and one daughter -- our oldest son is biological and our younger son and daughter are adopted. We love them the same -- regardless of their birth circumstances. We believe they were all intended to be part of our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe God has restored to the earth the same Priesthood power that was on the earth when Peter, James, and John were here. Jesus Christ suffered for my sins, but I must do my part to live with Him again: be obedient to His gospel as found in Holy scripture. I believe that the Book of Mormon is scripture equal to The Bible -- both contain God's word for me to obey.

How I live my faith

As a husband and father, I take seriously the responsibility to teach my family the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our family loves to have Family Home Evening -- a weekly time for our family to get together and share feelings and testimony about the gospel, in addition to playing games and having fun. This weekly activity brings our family a lot of joy.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Mormons are just like you. We are God-fearing, Christians. We have jobs and lifestyles like everybody else. Part of our lifestyle is to avoid anything that could be harmful to our bodies: like coffee, tea, alcohol and illegal drugs and abusing prescription drugs. Another part of our lifestyle is going to church every Sunday where we can continue to learn the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ from the scriptures. We also enjoy gathering as a family for one special night each week we call Family Home Evening. At Family Home Evening we sing hymns, talk about principles from the gospel of Jesus Christ, play any type of game or activity and have a treat to eat. It is extremely enjoyable and our sons look forward to it each Monday evening. Show more Show less
