Hi I'm Paul

I grew up in Melbourne FL near Kennedy Space Center. I could see rockets being launched from my back yard. I'm a Florida Gator!

About Me

I was born in Provo, Utah, but I consider myself a Southerner. When I was nine months old we moved back to Florida where nearly all my family lives. I grew up in a in Melbourne, Florida. Being i kid and growing up in a community with little knowledge of Mormons was very challenging. Nevertheless, I have fond memories about where I was raised-- the beach, fishing, Disney World, watching rockets launch from my backyard, and amazing church youth leaders that cared for me and gave me excellent advice. I attended the University of Florida after high school. There, I started a family and began pursued an education. Being a Florida Gator was unforgettable. I am 47 years old now, I would have to say that my greatest joy is my wife and family. I married my wife in the Atlanta Temple July 3rd, 1986. We have three boys and the youngest is a girl. We moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1999-- where my wife's family is from. Our oldest served a church mission in the Salt Lake City. Our next oldest is serving Chinese speaking mission in California. The rest are still in school and doing very well. My profession is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. (Google it.) I think its a pretty good gig. The education to get to this point was very rigorous, but worth it. That's me!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have asked God those personal questions about what things about life are true. I have studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon. These books testify of Jesus Christ. By prayerfully reading these books I have come to know that He is really the one by which we can have eternal life, that our souls can and must be saved trough Him, and that He is the source of all truth and light. All people who exercise faith can have this personal revelation given to them.

How I live my faith

I serve the young men of the church as the Scoutmaster of our troop here in Louisville ,Kentucky. We Have a good group of about 8 boys. We have great fun together. We have many activities that help build the boys' character as well as help them find out who they are and what interests them. Like all scouts, we enjoy camping. We also plan and go on what is called "High Adventures" once a year. I also live my faith by learning the gospel of Jesus Christ through personal scripture study, prayer and going to church. I try to live the "golden rule".
