Hi I'm Wynette

About Me

My favorite thing about me is that I am a mom and a wife. I like being anywhere my family is. I have six children and two grandchildren. I like being a grandmother even more than a mom. I love to garden. I used to have many drying flowers in my garden because I would make floral arrangements and sell them at boutiques. Now I grow lots of vegetables. I really like music, play the piano and the flute ( or used...have gotten rusty), sang in a vocal group for 10 years, like to cross country ski, roller blade, hike ( especially slot canyons) and exercise with hubby and friends early in the morning.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon. My children have gone to Ecuador, Chile, Florida, Taiwan, South Africa and Japan to teach others about Jesus Christ as missionaries for our church. My husband is a leader in our church. He spends a lot of time in the service of our members. I have seen the difference that the church has made to my family. It has been the means of comfort, strength, growth, developing of talents, and direction to take us back to our Heavenly Father. It has all the answers and makes sense of this life.

How I live my faith

I live in a great community and neighborhood. Most of us have lived on the same street and raised our kids together. It is wonderful to see the service that we give to each other. It is a blessing to live among so many caring people. It is easy to believe in God when we see all the thoughtful acts and kindness that is shown to one another. I want to be a good neighbor and friend because of the examples I see. It makes me want to be more like Christ and do as he taught and lived.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I am so grateful to live in a time when there is a prophet of God on the earth. It just makes sense to me that we need a prophet today just as much as the children of Israel needed one in ancient times. I have listened to our prophet and know because of the spirit I feel, that God has not left us alone without a voice on the earth today. He has prepared each prophet to be a guide and we have one today in President Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less
