Hi I'm Kim

I am a West Point graduate and officiate high school sports. I also work daily with great people who save pets. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired army officer and graduate of the US Military Academy and Chaminade University of Honolulu. I grew up in Kanab, Utah, a small southern Utah town with great friends and a close family of eight. Becky, a beautiful and special New York girl blessed my life as my wife and we have three great kids. I have a great love for the youth in our world and have spent many hours officiating high school and youth basketball, football and softball games. Our daughters were both swimmers and we spent many wonderful trips to watch them practice and compete. We live, love, serve and work in Tucson, AZ surrounded by our kids, their kids and Becky's wonderful family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I learned from watching my mother, followed the admonition of James, Moroni and our modern prophets and found every principle taught by the Gospel of Christ restored through Joseph Smith and every prophet since to be absolutely true. Christ lives, meant what he said and says and keeps his promises.

How I live my faith

I enjoy working with and serving the youth. I have always loved sports and I am able to stay connected with the youth by refereeing and umpiring their high school football, basketball and softball games. I also have a wonderful calling to help our youth leaders love, assist, teach and inspire the youth of the Church and their friends. It has strengthened my faith in God and my faith in His young sons and daughters placed on this earth at this perilous and special time, even the last of the latter days. Another source of love and compassion for me is the job God has blessed me with. He has provided a job at an animal shelter. The great love for animals expressed by His sons and daughters who volunteer, serve and work at the shelter is a great example of how I should feel towards all of Gods creations.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Faith helps me remember to treat my wife and children as children of God and I want to be able to report to Him that I treated them as His children. I try to see every person as a Child of God . I sometimes need to remember that I am too. As I think of the great love I have and am growing for my children and grandchildren, I try to remember that God has perfected that love for each of us. I also know that I want to please my fathers before me and my Parents in Heaven. I work hard to minimize the number of times God will have to ask me why I hurt a brother or sister. This makes it much easier to interact with even the most difficult sibling. Show more Show less
