Hi I'm David

I am from syracuse, UT. I love to laugh, have a good time and play hard. Im a mormon.

About Me

well my life has been pretty sweet up to this point Im not going to lie. I have a wonderful family who I love more than anything and I have had the oppurtunity to serve the lord for two years in North Carolina. I love to listen and make music. I want to make that apart of my profession or at least have it be a hobby. I love to play all sports, especailly bowling and basketball! I also enjoy hiking and rockclimbing. pretty much anything outdoors. I am going to college and really look forward to starting my career soon. But the thing I am most excited about is that my relationship with my Heavenly Father, and his Son, my Savior Jesus christ can continue to increase. I love both of them so much.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because of the blessings I have seen in my own life from living the gospel standards, as well as I have seen in others life. This gospel has changed my life because it has brought me closer to Jesus Christ than anything else I could do in this life. I know that this is the restored gospel, and that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by jsut trying to be the best that I can be. christ taught to "let your light so shine before men" and thats what I try to do. I really believe that if we do the little stuff, the everyday things like read my scriptures, say my prayers and go to church, heavenly father will help us with the big stuff. its not easy being a mormon, but it is 100% worth it. honesty I think it is a lot easier than not in the long run. eternity speaking.

Are Mormons Christians?

David
Absolutely! as a missionary I wore his name on my chest everyday on a little black name tag. eveything that we do in our faith is centered on Jesus Christ he is our saviour, our redeemer, and the living son of god. we believe in the Jesus Chist that was born of a virgin mary, in the city of Bethlehem. The same Jesus that we read about in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I know that Jesus is the christ, and will be Forever and ever. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

David
The savior taught about missionary work while he was on the earth. He said " go ye therefore all ye ends of the earth" speaking of missionary work. He himself did that when he visited the people in america, as recorded in the Book of Mormon. We in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints try our best to follow the example of Jesus Christ in all we do. That being said members are not required to go on missions but young men starting at the age of 19 and going to 26 are strongly encouraged to go. women also have the oppurtunity to go starting at the age of 21. Also senior couples have the opportunity to serve missions in many different capacities. there are many different ways to serve. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

David
The Law of Chastity is the moral law set by God, restricting sexual conduct before marriage and complete fidelity after marriage. The Law of Chastity in a nut shell is keeping ourselves Physically, mentally, and spiritually clean. Living this law from God has brought me so much peace, happiness, and safety in my life. It has helped me recognize the everday beautiful things that Heavenly Father has created. and has deepened my love for my family and made it possible to have richer relationships with those that I love. As I continue to keep the Law of Chastity thoughout my life I will continue to become for sensitive to the promptings of the spirit, and be happy. Show more Show less
