Hi I'm Brian

I'm a distance runner, an engineering student, saxophone player, baker, future husband, brother, son and twin; and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently a college student engaged to be married to an awesome LDS girl in December. Like many, I can identify with those who live a busy lifestyle. I am a Civil Engineering student, I run races for fun, I am trying to develop my talents to become a better husband and father. I find joy in life and it's many opportunities and pleasures, and among all that I balance in my life, I find the greatest joy in being a member of the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I simply couldn't think of any better way to live my life! The church has helped me to strengthen my relationships with God,my family, my friends (both in and out of the church) and even my enemies (See Matthew 5:43-47). When I go to church, keep my commitments and do the best that I can, I feel a sense of security in my life. I feel like everything is going to be o.k. The Church to me is a way of life. I have callings, I go to sacrament meetings, I do the best to read my scriptures and pray daily, and most importantly I try the best I can to live the principles that I learn. I find that as I do so, I feel a sense of peace and joy in life. I testify that you can feel that happiness as well, if you live a righteous life.

How I live my faith

In church, I have a couple of callings (or jobs) that keep me busy. I find joy in what I do voluntarily for the church. My first calling is hometeacher. For those who are unfamiliar with hometeaching, it is an institution that was designed so that church members could visit other church members and give them encouragement and service when necessary. It was primarily designed to strengthen the membership of the church. I currently hometeach 3 people, and I find joy in visiting them on a fairly regular basis. My other calling is to be the athletic director of my ward. As athletic director, I arrange things for the ward concerning sports. To magnify that calling, I have started an intramural soccer team at the university that I attend. It keeps me in shape and it makes life exciting! =)

Are Mormons Christians?

We are most certainly Christians!!! We read the Bible, believe in Jesus Christ and celebrate Christmas just to give a few examples. We also believe in Christ's sacrifice on the cross. As a matter of fact, one of our main beliefs is "..that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel." Show more Show less
